Some companies even have diversity managers to ensure their workforce is as diverse as our world. I don&#8217;t want to write about whether it&#8217;s a good thing to have those managers in a company, still, I keep wondering whether we need roles like this in the workplace, and whether daily life is influenced by this development at all.<\/p>\n<p>Recently I wrote on twitter that <strong>diversity is an asset, not a liability<\/strong>. I can only repeat this over and over again.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re all different, and &#8222;being normal&#8220; is just a snapshot of one moment in time.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re all human and shouldn&#8217;t judge people by their physical ability or their looks or their communication style or their age or their background.<\/p>\n<p>I want to live in a world where people don&#8217;t need to be afraid to say that they have depression, that they&#8217;re on the autistic spectrum, that they don&#8217;t have a job, that they&#8217;re &#8222;not normal&#8220;. And although I don&#8217;t have any new year resolutions, it&#8217;s one of my goals to continue working towards this kind of world I want to live in.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Diversity is a buzzword, no doubt about it.
